Bart The General
- Best episode, ever! There was a period where the show was a bit weak but I think they have improved again. The new episodes may not be as good as the first 6 seasons but they have improved some in compare to season 18-20.

El Viaje Misterioso De Nuestro Homero
- It doesn't get any better than Johnny Cash saying "Hello, Homer. I'm your spirit guide." Well, unless it's Chief Wiggum talking about his chile, with "the Merciless Peppers of Quetzalacatenango … grown deep in the jungle primeval by the inmates of a Guatemalan insane asylum."

Homr
- Despite being made when The Simpsons was really starting to go down hill, this is an episode that perfectly balances comedy and a poignant ending. It also features one of the best lines in Simpsons' history: "I came here to be experimented on, not insulted." The last truly great Simpsons episode

EiEi Annoying Grunt
- I can't believe I'm the only one! From the opening scene in the movie theatre to Homer going around slapping everyone with a glove and challenging them to duels! Also TOMACCO!!!! Way funnier than ANY episodes mentioned here..... By far.

Cape Feare

Lisa's Substitute
- The most poignant episode for me like a lot of Homer and Lisa shows and one of the funniest. Homer at his classic best!

El Viaje Misterioso de Nuestro Ho
- I think the chili cook off where Homer sees the coyote played by Johnny Cash :) with such great quotes like "and that talking coyote was really just a talking dog," "Hi Homer find your soulmate" and "come on we're missing the chili, less artsy more fartsy". Truly a Simpsons great. :)

So many classics
- It's going to be impossible to make a top 20 list viewed by many people without missing any, making people annoyed by missing out their favourites. I'd have to say there are only a handful of non-classic episodes from seasons 2-9. These are, in my mind: Dancing Homer, The War of the Simpsons, Lady Bouviers Lover, The Canine Mutiny, and Miracle on Evergreen terrace. All others from those seasons are pure brilliance. Here are some true classics that I think go underrated: Lisa on Ice Homer the Smithers Whacking Day Bart's Friend Falls in Love Sweet Seymour Skinners Badass Song Das Bus Homer vs the 18th Amendment Summer of 4 ft 2 Oh Brother where art thou the best episode left off the list is arguably You only Move Twice. the scene where scorpio threatens the UN is genius.

Frank Grimes
- I love your list but I'd have to find room for the Frank Grimes episode. And the Chili Pepper vision quest too. Sorry but I don't know the names.

Bart The Daredevil 6.Brother From The Same Planet (very underrated) 5. Cape Feare 4. You Only Move Twice 3. Bart Sells His Soul 2. Marge Vs. The Monorail 1. Rosebud. When You Wish Upon a Star
- Best episode ever. The jokes are incredible. Homer calling Ron Howard "Potsie" is great. And answering the phone "Imagine films is hilarious."
