Question: When did the Simpsons use a Hertz Rental Car?
The Simpsons frequently parodies real-life companies on the show. Here is an example.
Answer: In "The Regina Monologues" during the fifteenth season of The Simpsons, Homer and the family visit London. They rent a Mini Cooper from a company called "Ertz." This is a very specific and clever parody of the Hertz Rental Car company, because the cockney accent drops h's at the beginning of words, such as 'e (he) and 'ere (here). Thus, instead of a Hertz rental car, they have an 'Ertz rental car.
