'Sym-bionic Titan':

Sym-Bionic Titan premiered on September 17, 2010. The cartoon follows the lives of Ilana, Lance and Octus, three alien teens that crash-land on Earth while attempting to escape an evil General who has taken over their home planet, Galaluna. Ilana, princess of Galaluna, Lance, a rebellious but capable soldier, and Octus, a bio-cybernetic robot, must now blend into everyday life in Sherman, Illinois. Posing as high school students, Lance and Octus work to conceal Princess Ilana from General Modula and his hideous space mutants sent to harm the sole royal heir of Galaluna.

Ilana and Lance act as brother and sister, while Octus portrays dual roles of father at home and their friend Newton (after the scientist) at school.

When called into battle, our Galalunians are outfitted with individual armor that provides more than ample protection. It's when the gravest of danger appears that Octus activates the sym-bionic defense program and Ilana, Lance and Octus come together to form the spectacular cyber-giant Sym-Bionic Titan. It is in this form that they battle the most evil of beasts.

Lance is the highly talented, but very rebellious, soldier appointed to protect the princess. Ilana is the princess, wanting desperately to fit in and make friends. Octus is the robot who also takes the form of Dad or Newton, depending on the situation. (Dad drives to school, but Newton takes classes.) These three battle monsters sent by General Modula, who is determined to extinguish Ilana so she cannot lead a rebellion against him. They must also fight Solomon, the leader of G3 (the Galactic Guardian Group) who is sworn to protect Earth from alien advances.

Genndy Tartakovsky is the creator of Sym-bionic Titan. He's had a long career in animation, creating Dexter's Laboratory and Samurai Jack. He brings with him co-creators Paul Rudish and Bryan Andrews, who also worked on Powerpuff Girls and Samurai Jack with Tartakovsky.
