Atom TV features top Atom.com titles (including "Upload Showdown" winners) on Comedy Central, every Monday night at 2:00 a.m. Atom content also appears periodically on Spike TV and Logo.

Premise of 'Atom TV':

Atom TV is a groundbreaking alliance between an online brand and a television network. Comedy Central airs top-voted web series plucked from Atom.com. The shows can be animated, live-action, sketch comedy or parodies.

In the past, Atom TV has featured animated shorts like sly Benny, Escaped Convict, surprisingly brilliant Stickman Exodus, disturbing Steven and Stephen, creepy Super Special Dog, semi-disgusting Adventures of Baxter and McGuire and spoofy 5-On.

Creators of 'Atom TV':

Steven and Stephen comes from Adult Swim stars Tim Heidecker & Eric Wareheim (Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!), about two groin-conjoined, Internet-obsessed twins.

Stickman Exodus (one of my favorites) was created by Waverly Films, in which stick figures, doodled into existence by a bored high-school student, search for the "promised page" in the kid’s notebook.

Benny, Escaped Convict was co-created by television writer Ryan Levin (Scrubs) and award-winning animator Nye Warburton, and chronicles the exploits of a foul-mouthed rodent on the lam.

My Two Cents:

Atom.com offers a venue for not only professional animators and writers, but amateurs looking for their big break. Atom.com has discovered untapped talent, and by allowing users to vote for favorite shows, gives the power to the people. Comedy Central, then, allows the world to catch this comedy wave, and bring even more exposure to these talented folks. And we get to enjoy it all for free. Atom TV is a win-win.
