MTV2 Sic’ Emation

New Cartoons for Late Night

By Nancy Basile, About.com

MTV2 has a new block animation that's trying to rival the shows of Adult Swim called Sic’ Emation.

The Sic’ Emation Block will be led by Celebrity Deathmatch, Where My Dogs At?, a new show starring Saturday Night Live alum, Tracy Morgan, The Adventures of Chico and Guapo, a clever new animated series co-created by Orlando Jones, and concludes with classic episodes of Beavis and Butthead.

In addition, MTV will also be airing shows from the MTV2 Sic' Emation block including "Where My Dogs At?" at 10 PM and "Celebrity Deathmatch" at 10:30 p.m. on Friday nights.

In press release, David Cohn, general manager of MTV2 said, "Our audience loves animation just like music, video games, and the web. The Sic’ Emation shows are a great complement to MTV2’s catalog of subversive programming as they deliver the type of bold, outrageous comedy and daring attitude that our audience wants to see on the channel."

Celebrity Deathmatch
The fight returns as the clay alter egos of the world’s most famous celebrities face off in Celebrity Deathmatch. First made popular on sister network MTV, the series will take on a new life as MTV2 unleashes a whole new set of musicians, actors and movie stars in no holds barred battles to the death.

Where My Dogs At?
This show features Buddy and Woof, two stray dogs, trying to survive on the mean streets of Hollywood. Along the way, they provide their hilariously uncensored dog's-eye view of Hollywood, celebrity and pop culture insanity.

The Adventures of Chico and Guapo
Set in a New York recording studio, The Adventures of Chico & Guapo follows the comic misadventures of two hapless interns striving to get ahead in the music business by any means necessary.
