In "Bart to the Future" on The Simpsons we travel thirty years into the future. Lisa Simpson is President of the United States, with her family tagging along for the ride. Homer and Marge live in the White House with her, while brother Bart lives up to being the slacker he has always promised to be. In the end, though, Bart helps Lisa when his well-practiced excuses and slick talk help give Lisa more time to deal with the world's leaders.
One plot device used frequently on The Simpsons is going backward or forward in time. In "Bart to the Future," we get a glimpse of what's to come.
