The Simpsons season 12 and season 13 were packed with guest stars, including quite a few bands. In "Tale of Two Springfields," The Who played a prominent role in uniting New and Old Springfields. 'N Sync helped Bart's boy band save Springfield in "New Kids on the Blecch." R.E.M. played to an intimate crowd in Homer's makeshift garage bar in "Homer the Moe." And Phish helped Homer rock out in a wacky weed-induced state in "Weekend at Burnsies."
