Barney Gumble

Barney Gumble has been Homer's friend since they were in high school together. Back then, Barney was sober and Homer had hair. Barney is usually drunk and belching. In recent seasons of The Simpsons, has sobered up, fell of the wagon, got sober again, and so on.
