Use beer and wood chips in this Homer Simpson burger recipe. Thanks to Marcie Neff, OK, for this recipe.
Ingredients:
- 24 oz. ground beef, cheap meat
- 1 tsp. Invisible cola
- 1 can Duff beer
- 8 slices of American cheese
- 1 jar of pickles
- 1 6-pack of Duff beer (OOPS! Chugs beer again.)
- Woo hoo! Hooters!
- Lotsa salt, some pepper
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 6 - 8 tbsp. of rich, creamy butter
- 8 strips of bacon
- 1 tsp. liquid smoke
- 2 corn on the cobs, grilled in foil
Preparation:
- Place wood chips in bowl.
- Pop tabs of each beer can, and make 2 additional holes in each top, using a church-key opener.
- Pour half the beer from each can over the chips.
- Add additional beer or water to cover the chips, soak them for 1 hour and drain.
- Set up grill for indirect grilling.
- Sizzle the ground beef, bacon on the grill.
- Place the beef on a bun, the top with bacon, cheese, pickles, soak in butter.
