In the "Fishful of Dollars" episode of Futurama, Fry discovers he's a billionaire because his bank account has been accruing interest for 1,000 years. Sadly, he spends it all on a can of sardines, which have been extinct since 2200. But Mom, the evil corporate mogul, wants those sardines. She even uses the head of Pamela Anderson to try to convince Fry to give them up.
