The first season of Adventure Time was never released properly. Cartoon Network released themed DVDs with only a handful of episodes each. Now, fans can enjoy a full volume of the groundbreaking first season, complete with commentary from creator Pendleton Ward, behind-the-scenes featurettes, and several animatics.
Adventure Time - The Complete Second Season was released the same day as the first season, to make up for the lack of full-season DVDs for this crazy cartoon series. In the second season, the writers began playing with the idea of longer storylines that stretched into serial episodes. In "Mortal Folly" and "Mortal Recoil," Finn and Jake must battle the Lich, as well as save Princess Bubblegum (again) from the Ice King. The extras are a mixed bag, with commentary and interviews with staff members that don't reveal much about the actual process of making the cartoon.

The TV cartoon cast included Steven Weber, with Dom DeLuise, Ernest Borgnine, Sheena Easton and Bebe Neuwirth returning in the same roles.
