The fourth and final volume of DVDs for the '90s cartoon, which was executive produced by Steven Spielberg. Three cartoon shorts make up an episode, which also sometimes featured Rita and Runt, the Goodfeathers and Slappy Squirrel.
The first DVD release of a new series from the Ben 10 franchise. Ben 10: Omniverse introduced fans to new aliens and a new buddy for Ben named Rook. Rook plays by the rules, something that rubs Ben the wrong way, sometimes, but keeps him on the straight and narrow. 10 episodes on 2 discs.
The Spider-Man who stars in this animated series isn't the dark and brooding character Hollywood has fed us lately, in response to the success of the Dark Knight trilogy of movies. This is Spidey, the fun and fun-loving teenager who's working to do the right thing. In this series, Peter Park is introduced to S.H.I.E.L.D. and fights villains from all over the Marvel universe.
Fionna and Cake are the alter egos of Finn and Jake. In this form, Finn is a girl and Jake is a cat. Fionna and Cake starred in an arc of episodes that also featured Neil Patrick Harris as Prince Gumball. Those episodes, which were wildly popular, are included on this DVD, along with other favorites, like "Wizard Battle" and "Lady & Peebles."
Duck Dodgers is Daffy Duck, spaceship captain, who is thawed out after being frozen for 351 years. He is joined by Porky Pig as a space cadet. Ten episodes starring Johnny, the daredevil kid with the spiky hair, and his talking dog, Dukey. Johnny Test originally debuted on the WB in 2005, but now lives on Cartoon Network.
Do not look for Droopy or any other classic Tex Avery cartoons in this DVD compilation. There is no "The Blitz Wolf" or "Field and Scream." There are, however, cartoons that star a character named Tex, along with lots of other animated shorts. According to the sour reviews at Amazon.com, a lot of classic cartoon fans bought this volume hoping for the animated shorts they came to love, only to find they had been duped. Buyer beware!
Did you know that Perry is not the only animal who is deep undercover, working for O.W.C.A. (Organization Without a Cool Acronym)? In this DVD set of Phineas and Ferb episodes, you'll meet the panda, beaver and mouse agents, as well.
