Premiere:
Titan Maximum premieres on Sunday, September 27 at 11:30 p.m. ET on Adult Swim.
Premise:
One hundred years in the future, Saturn's moon Titan is defended by Titan Force Five, an elite squadron of young, brash pilots whose spaceships combine to form the giant robot Titan Maximum. As the series opens, the team has been disbanded due to budget cuts, but must hastily reassemble when a former team member turns rogue and tries to conquer the solar system with an assault of giant monsters. Now, the fate of humanity rests in the hands of a team of dysfunctional misfits commanding a rustbucket robot.
Characters:
The animated comedy includes a fun cast of characters, including heroes, villians and monkeys. The team leader is Palmer, an egotistical ladies' man with Blue Dragon-worthy hair. His team members include good girl Jodi, bad girl Sasha, nerdy little brother Willie Palmer and ex-good guy turned arch villain Gibbs.
Cast:
The cast of
Titan Maximum includes new and veteran talent.
- Breckin Meyer as Palmer
- Seth Green as Gibbs
- Rachel Leigh Cook as Jodi
- Eden Espinosa (L.A. Production of Wicked as Sasha
- Billy Dee Williams (yeah, that's right) as Admiral Bitchface
- Dan Milano (Greg the Bunny)as Willie Palmer
Creators:
Titan Maximum is created by
Robot Chicken's Tom Root and Matthew Senreich.
Robot Chicken's Seth Green will voice the show's villain. Created in conjunction with ShadowMachine Films' Alex Bulkley and Corey Campodonico, the series also features the voice acting of Breckin Meyer, Rachael Leigh Cook, Dan Milano and Eden Espinosa.
My Two Cents:
Titan Maximum is not your mama's Robot Chicken. (If she watches it.) It's way better. Titan Maximum is a mix of Team America, Transformers and Robot Chicken. Root and Senreich kept the clever potty-mouth humor but added sleeker stop-motion animation and feature film-like storytelling. The story is compelling, the characters are varied and interesting plus the sets and models are fresh and smooth. There's even a Stoopid Monkey (Green and Senreich's production company name) who goes by Leon. This is an Adult Swim cartoon you will have to add to your DVR list.
