'The PJs':

The PJs premiered on the Fox network on October 8, 2000. The cartoon moved to the WB in 2000. Now The PJs airs on Adult Swim. It was created using stop-motion animation. The PJs iconic logo was a manhole cover.

Premise:

Thurgood Stubbs lives with his wife Muriel in the housing project where he is the chief superintendent. The PJs follows the adventures of the Stubbs family and the others in the building.

Creators:

Eddie Murphy and Larry Wilmore executive-produced The PJs. A famous comedian, Eddie Murphy brought The PJs into the spotlight. Larry Wilmore is known from The Daily Show, The Office and as executive producer of The Bernie Mac Show. The PJs won three Emmy awards; in 1999 and 2001 Ja'net DuBois won for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance and in 2000 The PJs won for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation.
