'Lucy, Daughter of the Devil':
The pilot episode for Lucy, Daughter of the Devil first aired in 2005. Nearly two years later, the show had a full ten-episode run on Adult Swim.
Premise:
As you might have guessed from the title, Lucy, Daughter of the Devil is a cartoon series about Lucy and her complicated relationship with her father, Satan. Together they manage a bar, but the big sticking point between them is that Lucy is dating a DJ named Jesus (pronounced hey-soos). In the premiere episode, the Vatican dispatches a nun and priests to destroy the anti-Christ, who happens to be our dear Lucy.
Characters:
There's Lucy (Melissa Bardin Galsky), of course. She's bespectacled and smart. Lucy's boyfriend, Jesus (Jon Glaser), is a DJ who rolls with an entourage. Lucy's father is the Devil (H. Jon Benjamin), stressed out over his daughter's choice in men and how she runs the bar.
Creator:
Loren Bouchard is the creator of Lucy, Daughter of the Devil. Loren Bouchard co-created and directed Home Movies, an animated series that aired on Adult Swim. In addition, Loren Bouchard was an editor, story writer, producer and director on Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist, which ran for six seasons on Comedy Central.
