Nancy Basile

Nancy Basile is a professional writer who has been watching TV cartoons since the days when they were relegated to only Saturday mornings, and she's been writing about them for almost 10 years.

After winning state journalism awards in college, Nancy Basile put her writing skills to good use freelancing for the Medina County Gazette in Ohio and The Intelligencer in West Virginia. Later, Nancy was an assistant to a casting director who hired talent for episodic television and made-for-TV movies.

She eventually combined her writing and television background with her love of animation, and since 1999, has been covering all aspects of animated TV online. Nancy has watched the world move from Bugs Bunny (one of her early favorites!) and The Flintstones to current hits like Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Along the way she enjoyed watching Smurfs, Speed Racer, Schoolhouse Rock, Pink Panther, Underdog, Scooby-Doo, Pee-Wee's Playhouse and many more.

I strive to provide readers with the latest news on new animated shows and DVDs. I also offer episode guides, picture galleries, show profiles and trivia quizzes to help TV watchers become more acquainted with animated TV shows. I love the irreverence and biting humor of animated primetime shows.
