| "South Park" starts second half of season six | |||||||||||||||
| "South Park" kicked off the second half of season six this past Wednesday night with a great episode that, to me, gets back to the basics. The show pokes fun at the dreams we have as children. In one storyline, Butters comes up with plan after plan to wreak havoc in South Park, only to find out that he's not original and "The Simpsons" already did it. In another storyline, Cartman believes he can create his own Utopia by ordering sea creatures, which turn out to be brine shrimp. (Who didn't fall for that when they were kids?) |

Everything turns out happily ever after. Butters learns that it doesn't matter if his plans are original or not because there is no idea that is new. Cartman's dream comes true, only his sea creatures blow themselves up in a war. He and the other children learn that humans will always self-destruct. (Of course, in true "South Park" form Cartman's plan only came to fruition thanks to some semen.)
Look for Matt Stone and Trey Parker to stir up controversy with next week's episode titled "Red Hot Catholic Love." When the Catholic Church scandal negatively impacts church attendance in South Park, Priest Maxi travels to Rome to confront religious leaders about a solution . After intensive counseling about the issue, the boys try to understand why anyone would want to put something up their butts. Yep, I'd say the second half of season six is sure to be entertaining.
