Comments: Finally! I loved this episode because, flashy guest stars aside, it got back to the heart and soul of the show. This episode took a simple plot (a new area code) and let it flourish from there, just like the old days. No jockey-elves, or Bart's driving a tank.

I loved Homer's continuous stupidity, including his "fools rush in" willingness to go into the dog house with the badger. Another favorite scene of mine was when Apu charged Marge an out-of-towners tax and called her a "foreigner". But my absolute favorite thing about the episode was what Krabappel was wearing.

Hopefully, the rest of the season will be just as good.

Comments: This was the best show I have seen in a long time I liked the simpleness of it and Homer's usual easy answer. Where can I get an outfit like Mrs. K? She was groovy, man. I hope the rest of the season just keeps getting better.

Comments: One word: awesome! Even though this was officially the first episode of the 12th season, it was easily the best episode in a long time. I thought it was interesting to find out what the Simpsons first phone number was. My favorite part was when Homer gave Marge Chloroform after she was going to yell at him for saying it was Marge's idea for splitting the town in two.

Comments: Hmm, some season premiere. This just goes to show you how much The Simpsons has gone downhill as of the last couple of years. Oh well, we should just make the best of it. In this episode Homer divides the town in two just because of a change in area code. (Yeah...okay) Soon almost all his residents go back to Old Springfield, and New Springfield (which is led by Homer) turns into a ghost town. There was also some no name guest star that I haven't heard of (the Who, anybody??). All over all this wasn't a great episode, but it wasn't too bad either.
