Comments: I really thought this was an awesome way to end the season and the best of Season 11. I always wanted them to do a parody of Behind The Music. I really liked the way they did the parody of the show -- the corny metaphors, the way the Simpsons are depicted, and the host, Jim Forbes, who they actually used as narrator. I never stopped laughing throughout the episode and moments that already passed which are truly funny!
Here were the funniest parts of the episode:
- Homer trying to sell his show to networks, even Telemuno.
- Homer changing the sign from "Hammer Time" to "Homer Time".
- Homer's road to recovery/ hooked on painkillers.
- Bart's attempt to pay people to kiss.
- The Simpsons' fighting at a venue which gives a homage to the Partridge Family (the clothing, mostly).
- Jimmy Carter break dancing.
- Richie Rich filling in for Bart.
- The Simpsons' solo projects (especially Homer in Rent II: Congo Fever).
- The family having Thanksgiving, and they fought through their lawyers.
- The Huckleberry Hound bit.
- The end credits.
In the end, The Simpsons can still make you laugh very hard, and I think the whole thing about them being from Northern Kentucky is just a tease for fans because in future episodes that fact might contradict itself. Even though many thought that Season 11 was a bust, it actually wasn't, because it still manages to stay on the air and keeps going like the Energizer Bunny which is great!!! I hope Season 12 will be even more funnier with great plots and storylines.
