Since 2000, Playmates Toys has been releasing talking action figures of The Simpsons. When an action figure is put in a matching environment, a playset, the character speaks signature phrases. Homer and Bart are the best-selling characters from the talking action figures. So it is logical that any variant of these figures will be hot. The Radioactive Homer, a ToyFare exclusive, is highest on the most-wanted list. Radioactive Homer is a variant of the figure included with the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant. The difference is he actually glows in the dark!
2. Pin Pals
The Pin Pals were born in the "Team Homer" episode. The bowling team action figures include Pin Pal Homer, Pin Pal Apu, Pin Pal Burns, and now Pin Pal Moe. These action figures are hot, especially since Pin Pal Moe and Pin Pal Burns are ToyFare exclusives. Pin Pal Burns can fetch more than $75 in an online auction. For die-hard fans and serious collectors, these are required collectibles.3. Convention Comic Book Guy
This popular character came as an action figure with the Comic Book Shop environment. The hot action figure to have, though, is the variant Convention Comic Book Guy. The action figure is still the same portly guy, but with a fun Bi-Mon-Sci-Fi-Con t-shirt from "Mayored to the Mob." His shoes and shirt are also different colors than the original colors.4. Boxing Homer is another action figure selling for over $50 in online auctions. The action figure looks like Homer from "The Homer They Fall." He's wearing red and white boxing shorts. He comes with two removable boxing gloves. Just like Radioactive Homer, this action figure is sure to become a rare, and coveted, action figure.5. Radioactive Man & Fallout Boy
"Jiminy Jillickers, Radioactive Man!" The two action figures of Radioactive Man and Fallout Boy come together in one set. They're in full costume and come with a Lunar Base stand. This second annual "Treehouse of Horror" playset is exclusively sold at Toys R Us. The figures of Kang and Kodos come with removable tentacles. They are equipped with quotes like, "We have reached the limits of what rectal probing can teach us." The aliens' accessories include a spaceship control panel and a book titled, "How to Cook for Forty Humans." These are popular characters with all fans.7. Springfield Cemetary
The 2000 release of "Treehouse of Horror" action figures has become very popular. The action figures quotes are as treasured and rare as the annual Halloween episode. Why? The figures will only work in this playset. The figures included with this environment are Ned Flanders as The Devil, Bart as The Fly, Homer as King Kong and Mr. Burns as Dracula. The Kwik-E-Mart playset is a fun copy of Apu's store. Now you can play the cash register and the Squishee machine. The Apu action figure tells customers ten different funny phrases. The playset interacts with several other figures, including Sunday Beast Bart, Barney and Radioactive Homer.10. Krustylu Studios
Go behind the scenes of Krusty the Clown's TV studio. The environment comes complete with a small cannon for Sideshow Bob, who is included with this set. Sideshow Bob does not disappoint! He murmurs evil things, such as, "Well, if it isn't my archnemesis Bart Simpson and his sister, Lisa, to whom I'm fairly indifferent."
