Guide Review - "South Park" The Complete Second Season

The second season of "South Park" was hysterical, no doubt. But it lacked the shock and edge of the first season, simply because the vulgar language and topics of the show were no longer a surprise to viewers.

Having said that, the second season of "South Park" included classic episodes, such as "Not Without My Anus," "Cartman's Mom Is Still a Dirty Slut," "Underwear Gnomes" and "Chef's Salty Chocolate Balls."

The thing that this DVD set lacks the most is the givens on other DVDs: commentary and loads of extras. There are introductions from the old video sets to each episode by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, and the "mockumentary" making-of "South Park" titled "Goin' Down to South Park." But there is precious little else.

This DVD set of "South Park" is handy to watch episodes reguarly, but not a lot of fun otherwise.
