Guide Review - "Futurama" Vol. 3 DVD
I was able to review discs 1 and 4 in the screener set I was sent. On it included wonderful episodes such as "Parasites Lost" and "Luck of the Fryrish." Not only were they knee-slapping funny, but they were also touching, something else "The Simpsons" has been lacking lately.
Therefore, I put forth that Matt Groening began focusing his laser beam wit on "Futurama" in recent years, rather than "The Simpsons." When you compare these "Futurama" episodes to episodes of the same year in "The Simpsons," such as "Homer vs. Dignity" and "Simpson Safari," I think you'll agree.
The audio commentary by Matt Groening on all, yes, all of the episodes is a delight. Many of the deleted scenes are as funny as they're episodes.
The only extra feature missing is video footage of the cast recording their lines. Behind-the-scenes footage is always a treat for fans. Or at least, interviews with the cast would be nice.
All in all the "Futurama" Volume 3 DVD Boxed Set is a necessary addition to your TV DVD collection.
