Guide Review - 'Family Guy' Vol. 1 DVD Review
First, I am a big fan of Family Guy, and I mourned its loss. So to be able to watch the show again on the Family Guy Vol. 1 DVD, every episode, is a joy. The menus are fun and give you an idea of the zany humor Seth McFarlane cooks up. The picture is clear and crisp. The featurette is also interesting to anyone who is a fan.
However, I am unhappy that the boxed set seems slapped together. Though the packaging doesn't take up much space, it also doesn't offer fans anything special.
Also, there should be commentary for every episode, like The Simpsons DVDs. (I feel you can never have too much commentary.) Plus, avid fans will grip that the unaired episode "When You Wish Upon a Weinstein" should have been included.
