Guide Review - "South Park" - The Complete Third Season DVD
Finally fans can hear commentary from Matt Stone and Trey Parker on every episode. Unfortunately, the commentary is short and not terribly insightful. Of course, listening to the creators try to remember episodes might be funny enough for a lot of fans.
This season includes some of my favorite episodes: "Spontaneous Combustion," "Cat Orgy," "Chinpokomon" and "Are you there God? It's Me, Jesus." Watching these episodes you can see Stone and Parker beginning to realize they can push the envelope with not only the adult language, but the subject of their episodes.
As usual, I want more extras! I want to see behind-the-scenes footage of their recording sessions. I want to see interviews or clips from awards ceremonies. I want to see them breaking stories or brainstorming. Anything!
Of course, I highly recommend owning this collection because of the hilarity of the episodes. But if somehow you already have the full collection, the commentaries may not be enough for you to buy this DVD set.
