This Week's Animated TV Schedule

Monday August 25, 2008
I love me some Futurama, but one of my least favorite episodes is on Comedy Central Tuesday night, "The Devil's Hands are Idle Playthings." I know it was a series finale and all, but that whole flute business was just too sappy. Over on Adult Swim, they keep things rocking on Saturday night with The Venture Brothers and Metalocalypse. Sunday night, Fox dumps Sarah Connor to show us two hours of cartoons, with a double dollop of American Dad. See the full animated TV schedule.

This Week's Animated TV Schedule

Tuesday August 19, 2008
Adult Swim is continuing the retro trend with The Brak Show and Sealab 2021 and the like on Saturday night. Those are some of the programs Adult Swim originally started with, when it was still part of Cartoon Network, and they showed bumps of old folks swimming in pools. Adult Swim is also filling the gap on Saturday night with Metalocalyspe and The Venture Brothers. Review the full animated TV schedule for more shows, days and times.

Get premiere dates for returning animated Fox shows, as well as details about two new shows coming next spring.

This Week's Animated TV Schedule

Monday August 4, 2008
Futurama relieves the heat with a few of my favorite episodes this week on Comedy Central, including "A Tale of Two Santas." But, please, how many times will we be forced to watch "A Leela of Her Own" and "How Hermes Requisitioned His Groove Back?" Fox is pre-empting their second hour of animation on Sunday night to run a marathon of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. I like that show, but, man, Lena Headey needs a new expression. See the full animated TV schedule for more animated TV fun.

King of the Hill Reaches 250 in 2009

Friday August 1, 2008
The Simpsons has had many milestones, including airing 400 episodes. Now King of the Hill is slated to hit a big number, too. The Emmy Award-winning animated series celebrate its 250th milestone episode in May 2009. The 250th milestone episode, titles "Serves Me Right for Giving General George S. Patton the Bathroom Key," takes place a year after the death of Hank’s father, Cotton Hill. Congratulations Mike Judge and the gang!
