Prep and LandingDisney Animation's Prep & Landing is an instant classic and an Emmy Award winner. Which is no surprise, considering the creative minds behind the cartoon is the hit-making Pixar team.

Wayne is an elf in a specialized unit titled Prep and Landing. After over 200 years on the top-secret, highly-skilled job, he expects a promotion from The Big Guy (Santa). But when he's passed over, he becomes ambivalent about his job. So when he's partnered with newbie Lanny (think SpongeBob in green tights), he's less than enthused. They visit their designated house. While Lanny prepares it for Santa's arrival, Wayne gets caught by "a creature stirring" and must right the situation before it's too late.

Filled with wonderful Christmas phrases used as technical lingo, Prep and Landing had me laughing during the whole show. The characters are varied and fully fleshed, the story is tight and the action and humor are balanced perfectly. The situations and plot are terribly creative and fresh. My kids wanted to rewind and watch it again as soon as the credits rolled. Frankly, so did I.
