Will SpongeBob and South Park Go Dark Tomorrow?
Wednesday December 31, 2008
According to an article by Yahoo! News, Viacom, the parent company of Comedy Central, Nickelodeon and other networks, are asking for a hike in the fees paid by cable carriers. If those fees aren't agreed to, Viacom will pull the plug at 12:01 a.m. tomorrow on shows like SpongeBob SquarePants, South Park, Drawn Together and other shows that are on those networks. Just like the writer's strike this past year, online revenue is a big sticking point, with Time Warner saying Viamcom is reaping the rewards and not sharing. Can I live without Nicktoons? Yes, but what an empty life it would be. Stay tuned!
