South Park Creators Battle Media and Bosses

Monday July 24, 2006
Lately Matt Stone and Trey Parker, creators of South Park, have been under fire, again, for their episodes dealing with Scientology and the Islamic religion. According to Contactmusic.com, the pair blasted back at Comedy Central after the network blanked an image of Mohammed. Stone is quoted as saying, "If the Catholics don't want us ripping on Jesus anymore, they should just threaten violence, and they'll get their way." Comedy Central recently decided to bring back "Trapped in the Closet" into the re-run rotation, after the episode was nominated for an Emmy. But Stone and Parker aren't worried this time around about having the show pulled. According to Contactmusic.com, Stone is quoted as saying, "Since we've done the episode, we haven't had any contact from [scientologists] at all." Read more about Matt Stone and Trey Parker.
